Atlanta Falcons

Falcons vs Bengals Preview

on

Falcons vs BengalsThe Atlanta Falcons are set to travel for the 1st time on the young season and take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a game that features two teams that are seeking to remain undefeated and push their schedule to 2-0.

The Atlanta Falcons are coming off an exhilarating overtime victory over the division rival New Orleans Saints by a score of 37-34, earning them a great victory in front of their home crowds to start the year. The Bengals also started the season off with a victory over division rivals, as they beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-16 in a strong road win to get their season underway.

The Falcons, who were led largely by the arm of Matt Ryan who threw for a staggering 448 yards and 3 touchdowns, are coming into this week looking to continue to reestablish themselves as a force this year within the NFC South and become a legitimate playoff contender. The biggest area the Falcons need to work on this week is improving their ground game in order to provide some extra balance to their offensive assault.

The Bengals are looking to win their home opener this season against the Falcons, and to do so will need another strong game from quarterback Andy Dalton, who threw for 301 yards and a touchdown, as well as strong defensive play to hold off the passing attack of the Falcons. The Bengals are going to need a victory this week if they want to remain atop the AFC North.

The line for this game is set in favor of the Bengals by 5 points, while the over/under for the game is set at 48.5.

The Bengals, though favored, are going to have a tough time against the offense of the Falcons. In fact, I think the Falcons will take this one on the road, 28-21.
