Jets vs Eagles Preview

on

jets vs eaglesThe New York Jets are looking to close out this years NFL preseason with a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles as both teams are looking to begin the NFL regular season with as much momentum as they could possibly get.

Both the Jets and the Eagles are likely to allow their starters a fair amount of rest in this preseason game in order to both keep them healthy for this coming season, and to get a final look at players further down the depth chart in order to help the teams determine which players will make the final 53 man roster.

So far this preseason, the Jets have accumulated a 2-1 record while the Eagles have played to a 1-2 record, and both teams would like one last exhibition win before the regular season kicks off next week.

The New York Jets are looking to improve upon their performance from last season when they failed to make the playoffs behind the arm of rookie quarterback Geno Smith after a week 4 preseason injury to former Jet starter Mark Sanchez. Smith, now in his second season, hopes to lead the Jets back into the playoffs and compete with the likes of their division rival New England Patriots, as well as other division foes, the Buffalo bills and Miami Dolphins.

The Philadelphia Eagles this season, are aiming to continue their dominance, especially on the offensive side of the ball in the NFC East and make a return trip to the playoffs. Led by quarterback Nick Foles and running back LeSean McCoy, the Eagles ran a fast paced, run and gun offense, that kept defenses within their division and around the league on their heels.

The line on this game has the Eagles favored by 2.5, while the over/under for the game is set at 44.
