NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Open to Dealing Andrew Wiggins

on

Cleveland Cavaliers The Cleveland Cavaliers have decided to include Andrew Wiggins, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 draft, in a deal that would bring Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star power forward Kevin Love. Up until now trading Wiggins was not a possibility. The Cavaliers and new coach David Blatt have stated privately and publicly that they would not deal Wiggins.

Multiple source are now reporting that LeBron James wants the 6-10, 250-pound Love on the roster and that changes everything for Cleveland.

Love is an All-Star caliber player now. The trio of James, Kyrie Irving and Love could be a championship in the making.

While Wiggins could also be an All-Str in the making the thought is he is a ways off in his development towards that end.

The latest offer could include Wiggins, power forward Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick. Center Brendan Haywood might be included in the deal to make it work financially.

Love will make $15.7 million this season. He can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2014-15 season and he is on record in his desire to become a free-agent after the season.

Any deal to Cleveland would likely include agreeing to sign an extension with the Cavs and has already said he would be willing to do so.
