New Hampshire vs Toledo Preview

Toledo

The New Hampshire Wildcats are set to open up the college football season against the Toledo Rockets on Saturday as both teams will strive to open the season off with a victory in pursuit of a strong season.

The Wildcats come into this season after playing to a 10-5 record last season, finishing with a 6-2 record within the CAA conference of the FCS subdivision. The Toledo Rockets, on the other hand, finished last season with a record of 7-5, also winning 5 of the 8 games they played within their MAC conference within the FBS subdivision. Toledo lost both games they played against the FBS top 25.

The New Hampshire Wildcats are looking to continue their run of dominance within the CAA and they hope to continue to strive toward continued success within the CAA as well as within the FCS. A victory over Toledo would do a lot to help the Wildcats begin the season towards maintaining the success they enjoyed last season.

The Toledo Rockets are looking to improve on last season where they finished, just a little over .500. The Rockets ranked 74th overall last season in overall scoring defense as they allowed 28.6 points per game. The Rockets, however, enjoyed a lot more success on the offensive side of the ball, finishing the season ranked 4oth, scoring it 33.0 points per game. The Rockets hope to beat New Hampshire in an effort to get their season started off right.

While the game between the Wildcats and the Rockets should be pretty competitive, it is always hard to select an FCS team to beat an FBS team in any game. This game is an important match up for both squads, and both teas will bring their A game on Saturday to try and get the victory. Rockets take this one 21-14.
