Oklahoma vs Louisiana Tech Preview

on

Oklahoma

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are slated to open up the season against the number 4 ranked team in the country, the Oklahoma Sooners, in a game that both squads are looking to win in order to start off the 2014 season right.

Louisiana Tech is coming into the game after finishing last season with a very sub par record, finishing 4-8 overall, and playing to a record of 3-5 within the Conference USA. Louisiana Tech did not play in any games against top 25 level teams last year. The Sooners finished the 2013 season with a record of 11-2 overall in addition to playing to a 7-2 record within the Big 12 conference. The Sooners also finished with a 4-1 record against competition from within the top 25.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are looking to improve from their sub par season last year, and hope to become a team that other squads within the Conference USA need to focus on in their schedule. The best way for the Bulldogs to end up on the radar of other teams within the conference is to open the season with a victory over the number 4 ranked Sooners.

The Sooners, on the other hand, are looking to continue to enjoy their success from last year, especially within the BIG 12. The Sooners have high aspirations set for themselves this season, as they hope to not just compete for a Big 12 championship, but compete for a spot within the new College Football Playoffs. In order for the Sooners to do so, they will need to beat the Bulldogs at home in order to maintain their postseason hopes.

The Sooners shouldn’t have any kind of struggle against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, and should be able to pull off a decisive win. Sooners take this one 41-10.
