Ravens vs Saints Preview

on

SaintsThe Baltimore Ravens are set to play in their final preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday as both teams look to get one more win before entering the regular season looking for a bit more momentum.

Both the Ravens and the Saints have played to a 3-0 record so far this preseason, although those records will be meaningless in the end, it is still something nice for both teams.

The starters for both squads shouldn’t expect to see much, if any playing time as the final preseason game of the year usually is reserved for starters to rest and stay healthy and backups to get some extra time to prove that they deserve a spot on the 53 roster when the teams cut down to that size.

The Ravens are hoping to overcome some of the offseason issues that have faced the organization, most notably Ray Rice’s domestic violence incident, and be competitive within the AFC North, where they primary competition for success will come from the Pittsburgh Steelers. in addition, the Ravens have to deal with the tough Cincinnati Bengals within the division. The Cleveland Browns will be unlikely to pose much of a threat.

The Saints are poised to have another successful year as an offensive juggernaut within the NFC South. The Carolina Panthers will once again provide some stiff competition for New Orleans. In addition to the Panthers, the Saints will also have to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons twice this year as both of those teams are looking to have resurgent seasons. The Saints are looking to make a deep run into the playoffs this season.

The line of this game has the Saints favored by 3.5 points while the over under is set at 43.5.
