David Silva Signs 5 Year Deal With Manchester City

David SilvaDavid Silva has signed a new 5 year deal with Manchester City, set to keep Silva playing for the Premier League team through 2019.

Silva, aged 28 years old, transferred to play for Man City from Valencia in 2010, said that he believes that Man City has the potential to be one of the finest clubs on the planet and that he has no reason to leave Eithad Stadium.

Silva, native of Spain, has helped lead Man City to 2 premier league titles since joining the club, helping Man City win the FA Cup and the Capitol One Cup in just his 4 years.

Silva is highly confident that Man City will bring more silverware to the club and it will experience continued success.

One of the reasons Silva signed is he has felt incredibly close and welcomed by the team and its fans.

“From the moment I joined the club four years ago, it has felt like a second home to me.” Silva said.

“On and off the pitch, I feel incredibly content and fulfilled professionally and personally, so why wouldn’t I want to stay and keep winning trophies with this fantastic team?”

Silva is an important part of the Man City team and fully expects that the club will continue its run of success in its coming years.

“Over the last four years, we have achieved so much together, establishing City as a dominating force in England and now, when I look around this dressing room, I can see no reason why we won’t become one of the top teams in the world.” Silva said confidently of his club.

Silva still had 3 years on his contract, but Man City decided now was the right time to lock down the one time World Cup winner and help their team stay strong in the future.
