Jaguars vs Redskins Preview


jaguarsThe Jacksonville Jaguars are set to take on the Washington Redskins in a game between 2 teams who are still seeking their 1st win of the year after both teams took tough losses in week 1 of the regular season.

The Jaguars lost their game to the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 34-17 after having given up 34 unanswered points to the Eagles and blowing the game in spectacular fashion. The Redskins also lost their game last week, being beaten 17-6 by the Houston Texans, in a game that saw the Redskins offense struggle immensely.

The Jaguars are coming into this week hoping to bounce back from a rough outing against the Eagles. The Jaguars appeared to have some serious, and surprising success against the Eagles, jumping out to a 17 point lead in the 1st half while holding the Eagles scoreless. The Eagles roared back, and destroyed the Jaguars in the 2nd half, scoring 34 unanswered points. If the Jaguars are going to get the victory, they will need major improvement on both sides of the ball.

The Redskins fielded an almost useless offense, only managing to put up 6 points against the Texans, while their defense allowed 17 points, giving the Texans an easy victory. The Redskins had decent outputs from both Alfred Morris on the ground, and Robert Griffin III in the air. If the Redskins are going to get their 1st win, they’ll need to cap off some drives with touchdowns.

The line in this game has the Redskins favored by 5.5 points, while the over/under for the matchup will be at 43.5,

This game will be relatively close, and the Jaguars will have to work hard if they hope to earn a road win. The Redskins will earn their 1st win this season at home in their game against the Jaguars. Redskins win 21-14.
