Jets vs Packers Preview

aaron rodgersThe New York Jets are set to travel to Lambeau Field on Sunday to take on the Green Bay Packers in a game that sees the Jets pursuing their 2nd win on the year and the Packers still seeking their 1st.

The New York Jets are coming into this week having beaten the Oakland Raiders by a score of 19-14 in a game that was a nice win for the Jets at home to start their season off. The Packers, on the other hand, are coming into this week fresh off of a loss to the defending champion Seattle Seahawks in a game that the Seahawks dominated, winning 36-16.

The New York Jets fielded a decent offense in the game last week, with running back Chris Ivory running for 102 yards and a touchdown, while 2nd year quarterback Geno Smith threw for 221 yards in the game along with a touchdown. The Jets played a good overall game, although their defense did allow 14 points to a Raiders offense that largely was ineffective as far as accumulating yards.

The Packers, having lost in the 1st game of the NFL season, are looking to earn their 1st victory of the season in their home opener. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers only threw for 189 yards and 1 touchdown in the game against Seattle and was held to a limited role. The Packers also struggled on the ground, with their leading rusher only earning 37 yards. The Packers will need to improve offensively this week to earn their 1st win.

The line on this game has the Packers favored by 9 points and the over/under for the game is set at 46.

The Packers will earn their 1st win of the season this weekend as they are set to dominate the Jets. Packers win convincingly, 31-10.
