Buffalo Bills

NFL Week 5: Titans vs Bills live stream | How to Watch Online

Buffalo comes home after splitting a pair of road games against two of the top playoff contenders in the NFL. Their defense held Kirk Cousins to an inconsequential 6 points at the end of a blowout victory in Week 3.

They followed that up by limiting Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to a pair of touchdowns. That could have been enough for a win except that Josh Allen snapped back to reality after his surprising outing against the Vikings defense.

Still, it is enough to give Bills fans hope that the Week 3 version of their team will make a showing in Upstate New York sometime this season.

Meanwhile, rookie head coach Mike Vrabel devised a plan that gave the Titans just enough on either side of the ball to pull out three close games against playoff opponents.

Last week’s overtime thriller against the Eagles capped the triumvirate of successful outcomes after the Titans pulled out a field goal battle against the Jaguars and delayed Deshaun Watson’s return to relevance with a tremendous defensive effort in Week 2.

Sitting on top of the AFC South division at the quarter mark has to make the Titans feel confident about their playoff odds. All segments have contributed. New receivers stepped up. They even jettisoned their only malcontent. Things are looking good in Opryland.

Which is exactly why they better be careful. After all, Minnesota was feeling pretty good about their season before this same Bills team went into the Vikings’ house and convincingly beat them at every aspect of the game.

Buffalo’s defense is confident and anxious to show the home fans what they can do after a disappointing start to the Bills’ season. LeSean McCoy could be back in the mix on offense and Allen showed he can use his running ability to keep the Titans defense off balance.

What will Mike Vrabel plan to counteract the Bills’ attack? We’ll have to watch and find out.

Who will win the Bills vs Titans game?

Oddsmakers recognize the 1-3 Bills might be better than their record and the 3-1 Titans might not be as good. The Bills are still home underdogs, but the 3.5-point spread is less than some expected.

But, they are still the underdog and for good reason. Josh Allen was thrown to the wolves behind a suspect offensive line and without receivers who can help a shaky quarterback much.

Vrabel has pulled all the right levers the past three weeks. Marcus Mariota showed his hand/elbow issues won’t limit him much and we haven’t even mentioned the Titans rushing combination of Derick Henry and Dion Lewis.

Buffalo’s defense will play tough, but the Titans will be ready for them. Final score: Titans 17, Bills 10
