Cleveland Browns

Saints vs Browns Preview

Saints 1The New Orleans Saints are set to travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns as both teams are set to enter Sunday’s contest looking for their 1st win on the year after both teams suffered close losses in their week 1 contests.

The Saints come into this week having lost in Atlanta to the Falcons in an overtime thriller that ended with a score of 37-34 with much of the game being a back and forth affair with a lot of offense. The Browns come into this game having lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a crushing 30-27 loss that the Steelers won by kicking a field goal as time expired.

The Saints are looking to get their 1st win of the season after their tough loss in the season opener. Despite a strong performance from the Saints offense, with Drew Brees performing well, as usual, and even Mark Ingram getting 2 touchdowns on the road. The defense, however, fell short, allowing Matt Ryan and the Falcons to march down the field with relative ease.

The Browns are also looking to bounce back from a tough loss, but posed a serious threat to the Steelers, and managed to pull close and tie the game before the Steelers won it with the game ending field goal. Running back Terrence West posted a 100 yard rushing performance, and Brian Hoyer threw for a touchdown while not throwing any interceptions.

The line for the game has the Saints favored by 6.5 points in this match, while the over/under for this Sunday’s game is set at 48.

The line has the Saints favored significantly, and it’s hard to disagree. That said, the Saints have struggled on the road in recent years, but should be able to handle the Vikings this week. Saints win 38-21.
