Sources: Cleveland Cavaliers To Play Miami Heat Christmas Day


lebron jamesNBA fans everywhere can expect to have one extra present to open come Christmas day as the NBA is set to announce Wednesday that LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the Miami Heat for the first time since LeBron made the decision to rejoin the Cavaliers on Christmas day.

Sources reported to that when the NBA releases the schedule at 6 pm on Wednesday that the Cavaliers and Heat will play on Christmas day.

The Christmas day meeting between the 2 teams will mark the first time the Cavaliers will play the Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh led Miami Heat in Miami since King James reclaimed his Cleveland throne.

The Los angeles Times reported that the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors will also fill one of the game slots on Christmas day, renewing what has been building up to be one of the better new rivalries in the Western Conference over the last few years between the 2 Pacific Division teams.

According to sources, some last minute schedule changes have left it unknown as to when LeBron’s second stint with the Cavaliers will start, but officials are adamant that rumors that the opening game will be between the Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs are untrue.

The Spurs are set to receive their championship rings tentatively on October 28th and open the season against the Dallas Mavericks, their opponent in the opening round of the playoffs on their way to their NBA Finals championship.

All of this is still technically speculation until 6pm on Wednesday when the NBA officially releases the schedule on NBA TV.

Once the schedule is released, the public will be able to see just how much of the speculation surrounding the schedule has been true.
