UC Davis vs Stanford Preview

StanfordThe UC Davis Aggies are set to open up their 2014 college football season on the road as they travel to take on the Stanford Cardinals  in a game where both teams are striving to win to get the season started off right.

Playing out of the FCS subdivision’s Big Sky conference, the Aggies are entering this year after finishing last season with a record of 5-7, along with a record of 5-3 within their conference. The Cardinals are coming into the 2014 season ranked 11th in the country after finishing 2013 with a record of 11-3, with a record of 7-2 within the PAC 12. One thing that helped separate the Cardinals was their impressive record of 6-1 in the 7 games they played against top 25 competition.

The UC Davis Aggies are looking to improve upon their performance from last season in an effort to assert themselves as a dominant force with the Big Sky conference as well as the FCS subdivision as a whole. If the Aggies do manage to start the season off with a victory over the Cardinals, it will not only be one of the biggest upsets in recent memory, but will also send the Aggies on their way to an impressive season.

The Cardinals are looking to continue the success they had within the PAC 12 last season and continue to be one of the more dominant forces within college football. Should the Cardinals continue to play like they did last season, they will continue to have great success in the PAC 12, as well potentially playing their way into the newly established College Football Playoffs, maybe even contending for an NCAA FBS championship.

The Cardinals will run over UC Davis in the season opening matchup, thoroughly dominating the FCS team.

The Cardinals will blow out the Aggies, 49-7.
